Endeavor
The spotlight was on the Leader Flyers tonight as the Eston Ramblers made their way down south. The Rambler’s start was as rusty as the Flyers skates, not the typical start you'd expect them, to have. You don't need Indiana Jones to help find it. It's not a case study for the cast of CSI. Even the popcorn vendor in the nose bleeds can tell you what it is. It's about pursuit. It's about effort. Ramblers lacked that. But, it wasn't four minutes into the game they put this “pass the puck” game into play. #22 Dayton McIvor was first to start the Ramblers off to victory by scoring the first goal 4:25 into the first period. And the end of the first, and the exhaustion setting in, but not letting it slow them down, Ramblers scored second goal. With 54:2 seconds left in the period by #12 Darcy Morrice.

Second period the Flyers took flight and caught up by scoring two goals in the first seven minutes of play. Ramblers soon got uneasy of how they might bring this win home. Sticks broke, pucks flew, and 11:50 in second period #7 Nathan McLean was kicked of the ice for crosschecking from behind. And to take the two penalties for roughing was #9 Brant Becker & #12 Darcy Morrice. Game play continued and Flyers scored their third goal. Wasn’t soon after, Ramblers evened the score again, with #9 Brant Becker, one of our imports scoring our third goal. Soon after that Flyers scored their fourth and final goal. Ending the game with a score of 4-3 for the Leader Flyers.
Ramblers didn’t bring Sexy Back this time and they have yet to rest, and play again in 24 hours. Ramblers face the Macklin Mohawks in Eston Saturday November 4 at 8:00 pm we'll see yah there.
