Oil Country Pumped
The Hurricanes blew into Edmonton as the Oilers had ice crumbling under their skates after two losses in Raleigh, the Edmonton Oilers moved back on to safer ground Saturday night at a frenzied Rexall Place. Oilers kicked off with an excellent start, with Horcoff scoring two minutes into the first period. A late third-period goal by Ryan Smyth lifted the Edmonton Oilers over the Carolina Hurricanes at Rexall Place. Carolina tied the game in the third period but the Oilers prevailed to cut the Hurricanes' series lead to 2-1. With Game 3 behind the Oilers, they look to the future as they play Game 4 in Edmonton Monday June 12 6pm.
