Luck
Question of the month: How did Oyen Eagles beat Eston Ramblers? Eagles are obviously on some sort of enhancement drug that makes them cheat there way through hockey. Or they are really good at Hockey. If I recall correctly they are in 6th place, that’s 3rd from last. It’s not even possible for a miracle to happen for the Oyen Eagles. Eston Ramblers on the other hand are tied in first with Luseland. So how can a measly team of pimple popping punks, giant hairy men with greasy mullets, and hormonal raged young men slip (literally) past our Ramblers? We have no excuse for this lose. But we have to ask how?
We are not arrogant, or boastful about where we stand, but how we stand. Ramblers stand together, as a team. Oyen however could learn a few things.
I would call this win “luck”. That’s all it was. “Luck”.

So next time Oyen, when you “win” and then parade around the ice with your noses high in the air and your high-pitched girly screams, remember it was only a game, and not the Stanley Cup. So I officially would like to rename the Oyen Eagles to Oyen Seagulls. I’m not bitter, just confused.

Now to the game, 13:34 into first #16 Jeremy Cooper short hands the first Eston goal, assisting was Nathan McLean. Eagles return the favor as they tie up the game.
Second period 1:46 #9 Brant Becker wastes no time and takes the Ramblers into the lead 2-1, assisting was that super swift dumpy gopher, #33 Joel Switzer. Third Period Oyen Eagles once again tied the game, but not long after #9 Brant Becker led the pack, alongside assisting him #17 Donnie Hartsook. 5:37 left of third Ramblers without a doubt had the decapitated eagle’s head in the bag. This is where things get confusing. Oyen scores not once, twice, this takes the Ramblers to overtime and scores 3 minutes into play. This astonished the diminutive Oyen crown and staggered the Eston crowd. I ask the question once again, are miracles possible? If so, how could it happen to the seagulls?

Matt, it sounds like you might have something against the people on the team or is it were the team is from?! Either way, it was a good game.
