Vengeance

The small island of Koh Phangan in Thailand they have yearly tradition where they would shoot or spear a full grown eagle. They would then cut of the head & drain the blood. To prepare the eagle portions they would remove each thighbone, some bones just below the knuckle and the end of each leg. This would allow the meat to shrink down during cooking. Then they would place the portions in a shallow dish with thyme, lemon and orange zest, garlic, star anise and a generous amount of salt. After that rub the mixture over portions. long after refrigeration for 24 hours they would place the eagle in a saucepan & place in the oven to 150 for 2-3 hours.

Now you wonder how does this all come into how the Ramblers played last night in Oyen? Well the island of Koh Phangan now has something to celebrate. Ramblers traveled to Oyen, Alberta last night, and were met in battle with the Oyen Eagles. First period 3:02 into play Ramblers #11 Scott Poulter scoring the first goal assisted by that Rambler who never seems to grow any taller #7 Nathan McLean. 13:32 blue once again had it in them & attacked with #20 Chris Schlenker & #24 Darren Oliphant assisting. Oyen managed to get a goal, ending the first period. Second Period Oyen once more manages to show their talons as they dig in another goal, matching the Eston Ramblers & tying up the game by the end of second.

Third period was were this Eagles flew. Oyen decided to pick up their skates & managed once again to astonish even their own crowd, by making the game 3-2 for Eagles. But Ramblers dont take crap, especially from Eagles. With 15:00 in third, #17 Donnie Hartsook sinks one in, assisting him #20 Chris Schlenker. So once again the game is tied, but some spoke to soon. Ramblers are known to never quit. 16:57 left in third #19 Quinn McLean short-hands a goal & sets the bar scoring Ramblers 4th goal, alongside assisting him #24 Darren Oliphant & #7 Nathan McLean. Eagles take a time-out & with 19:57 left into third, and no goalie in the Eagles net, #22 Dayton McIvor scores the 5th Rambler goal. Final score 5-3 for Eston Ramblers. Next game is Friday January 19th against Luseland Mallards at 8:00 pm. After that on the 20th Rambler in Eston, where the will face the Unity Minors at 8:00 pm.
