Talk about an unfamiliar position.

The Eston Ramblers hockey team has become unaccustomed to losing many games, the past two games in particular seem to have shown it was quite the struggle for the Estonian hockey gods. As for current Rambler players, losing just isn't part of their mentality. The last couple games played both away and home has shown weakness in the team. Could it be that the Ramblers are trailing their love for the game? Not yet, although through recent conversations with the various Ramblers it seems as if some may have pinpointed this problem.

So with the recent firing of the Queen bee, Coach Blyth Stevenson, the Eston hockey gods are free to rule these lands without hesitation. As they have recently fought to regain what was lost before & to pursue more without ceasing. Last weeks game in Eatonia, the better-focused Ramblers put this dog to work. The Huskies had time for one pee-break and it was in that moment the Ramblers regained their honor and castrated this dog with a final score of 6-3.

Sunday hosting the Oyen Eagles, the Ramblers took no time in proving this bird of prey they deserve what they have worked so hard for. First period #12 Darcy Morrice having missed 3 games due to a game misconduct, hit the ice committed & scored the Ramblers first goal 16:26, assisting #17 Donnie Hartsook & #9 B.J. Becker. Start of second, Oyen Eagles figured it must now be time to join the game, scoring their first & last goal of the night, but not before Eston took back the lead by scoring 3 goals in second. 5:26 into first #9 B.J. Becker shot hands a goal with #12 Darcy Morrice & #20 Chris Schlenker assisting. 15:21 after a long absence #2 Troy McIvor shows he is worthy to still play for the team shot handing a goal. Assisting him #22 Dayton McIvor & #9 B.J. Becker.

Why did the gopher cross the road? To show his friends he could get run over by a car. by Zack McLeod.

Yah thats right third goal of second period 16:28 belongs to the one who skates like a gopher on Ritalin #33 Joel Switzer. Assisting him #9 B.J. Becker & #44 Matt Owens. Third Period proved to the small town of Eston Ramblers only give & dont recieve no crap from Eagl er Seagullls, who seemed to constantly be struggling to recover the puck the majority of the game. 14:41 into third #20 Chris Schlenker decides its do or die time, short handling & scoring his 14th goal of the season, assisting him #24 Darren Oliphant. With 15:48 left of third, Ramblers decide this bird is pretty much de-feathered, skinned & ready for the pot. #33 Joel Switzer takes the honors to turn the heat up & finalizing what was left of the Eagles by scoring Estons last goal of the night, assisting him was #44 Matt Owens & #22 Dayton McIvor.

Ramblers end the night with a final score of 6-1, & a finale you could only find at a WSW match 10 years ago. With 3 Rambler game misconducts for #24 Derren Oliphant, #20 Chris Schlenker & #9 B.J. Becker. Next Ramblers home game will be on Saturday February 3rd, where they will also try to salvage their rank of position in the SaskWest Leugue Standings. 24 hours later they will begin with a string of Provincial Playoff games, first one beginning 8:00 pm where they will first host Loreburn.
