Not Ready To Make Nice |
Forgive, sounds good. Forget, I'm not sure I could. They say time heals everything, But I'm still waiting
I'm through, with doubt, There's nothing left for me to figure out, I've paid a price, and i'll keep paying
I'm not ready to make nice, I'm not ready to back down, I'm still mad as hell And I don't have time To go round and round and round It's too late to make it right I probably wouldn't if I could Cause I'm mad as hell Can't bring myself to do what it is You think I should
I know you said Why can't you just get over it, It turned my whole world around and i kind of like it I made by bed, and I sleep like a baby,
With no regrets and I don't mind saying, It's a sad sad story That a mother will teach her daughter that she ought to hate a perfect stranger.
And how in the world Can the words that I said Send somebody so over the edge That they'd write me a letter Saying that I better shut up and sing Or my life will be over
I'm not ready to make nice, I'm not ready to back down, I'm still mad as hell And I don't have time To go round and round and round It's too late to make it right I probably wouldn't if I could Cause I'm mad as hell Can't bring myself to do what it is You think I should
I'm not ready to make nice, I'm not ready to back down, I'm still mad as hell And I don't have time To go round and round and round It's too late to make it right I probably wouldn't if I could Cause I'm mad as hell Can't bring myself to do what it is You think I should
Forgive, sounds good. Forget, I'm not sure I could. They say time heals everything, But I'm still waiting

Hurricane Stolen |
Oilers had the chance to enjoy shark and duck, but how does one stop a storm from happening? Robbed like a thief in the night, Hurricanes season began and ripped buildings, streets and even arenas apart. The Edmonton Oilers threw everything they could at the Carolina Hurricanes. Through four rounds of hockey, a franchise-record 24 playoff games and all the way to Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals but in the end, the Oilers dropped the deciding game 3-1 to the Hurricanes as Carolina won their first Stanley Cup in franchise history. So the Oilers rest tonight, with bruises, broken bones and of course dreams of O’l Stanley, Till next time Oilers. |

Almost Home |
The tides have turned. Just when you think it’s done, it isn’t. Highlights: A shorthanded goal on Wednesday by Fernando Pisani early in the first overtime denied the Carolina Hurricanes their first opportunity to win the Stanley Cup. The Oilers won 4-3 and the series now returns to Edmonton.
Goals by Fernando Pisani, Raffi Torres, Ryan Smyth and Shawn Horcoff and 16 saves by Jussi Markkanen powered the Edmonton Oilers to a 4-0 shutout victory over the Carolina Hurricanes at Rexall Place on Saturday night. The series is tied 3-3. With the win, the Oilers have guaranteed that there will be a seventh and deciding game in the Stanley Cup Final in Raleigh on Monday. One thing is certain – the cup will be claimed. 6pm. |

Need an Oil Change? |
There was a Storm Warning for the Oilers as the Hurricanes made their way up to Edmonton on Monday and blew things to bits. 8:40 into the period, the Oilers finally struck for the game's first goal. Sergei Samsonov carried the puck over the line before a nice backhand pass to Radek Dvorak who was trailing on the rush. Dvorak threw the puck right back to Samsonov who tipped it past Ward to give Edmonton a 1-0 lead. Yet with their 74 mph winds, 29 seconds after Edmonton made it 1-0, Carolina scored on their first power play of the game. Cory Stillman one-timed a Frantisek Kaberle pass to tie it at 1-1. Mark Recchi's goal late in the second period proved to be the difference as the Carolina Hurricanes defeated the Edmonton Oilers 2-1 on Monday night to take a 3-1 series lead in the best-of-seven Stanley Cup Final. However, Oilers Still Believe. This is it, Oilers make it last for another day, or they sink in Oil. What will the outcome be? CBC 6pm. |

Everything Changes |
If you just walked away What could I really say? Would it matter anyway? Would it change how you feel?
I am the mess you chose The closet you cannot close The devil in you i suppose 'Cause the wounds never heal
But everything changes If I could Turn back the years If you could Learn to forgive me Then I could learn to feel
Sometimes the things I say In moments of disarray Succumbing to the games we play To make sure that it's real
But everything changes If I could Turn back the years If you could Learn to forgive me Then I could learn to feel
When it's just me and you Who knows what we could do If we can just make it through The toughest part of the day
But everything changes If I could Turn back the years If you could Learn to forgive me Then I could Learn how to feel Then we could Stay here together And we could Conquer the world If we could Say that forever Is more than just a word
If you just walked away What could I really say? And would it matter anyway? It wouldn't change how you feel - Stained |

A late third-period goal by Ryan Smyth lifted the Edmonton Oilers over the Carolina Hurricanes at Rexall Place. With Game 3 behind the Oilers, they look to the future as they play Game 4 in Edmonton Monday June 12 6pm. |

Oil Leak |
A stunning comeback, phenomenal goaltending and the bitter loss of a star player to injury all made Game 1 of the 2006 Stanley Cup Final both unforgettable and vexing for both the Carolina Hurricanes and Edmonton Oilers. There was a storm warning when the Hurricanes got the important win, 5-4, after falling into a three-goal hole in midway through the second period.
For the Oilers, the loss was especially devastating as goalie Dwayne Roloson, a leading contender for the Conn Smythe Trophy headed into the Final, suffered a knee injury late in the third period and is out for the remainder of the playoffs.
A storm was a brewin’ as The Carolina plan was to get back to playing the brand of hockey that brought the 'Canes to the Stanley Cup Final, and Wednesday night, they did, posting a 5-0 shutout against the Edmonton Oilers to take a 2-0 series lead with Game 3 in Edmonton on Saturday night.
So what will happen with this oil leak? Mabye a Oilers Prayer? Find out Saturday 6pm. |

The World I Know |
Has our conscience shown? Has the sweet breeze blown? Has all the kindness gone? Hope still lingers on. I drink myself of newfound pity Sitting alone in New York City And I don't know why.
Are we listening To hymns of offering? Have we eyes to see That love is gathering? All the words that I've been reading Have now started the act of bleeding Into one. Into One
So I walk up on high And I step to the edge To see my world below. And I laugh at myself While the tears roll down. 'Cause it's the world I know. It's the world I know. I drink myself of newfound pity Sitting alone in New York City And I don't know why. And I don't know why.
So I walk up on high And I step to the edge To see my world below. And I laugh at myself While the tears roll down. 'Cause it's the world I know. It's the world I know.
Yeah, I walk up on high And I step to the edge To see my world below. And I laugh at myself While the tears roll down. 'Cause it's the world I know. It's the world I know.
